Some of the tips to be considered while writing a Resume....
The Resume is the best platform which can help you in getting a job. So, spend as much time as possible in making it attractive.
Two main points in writing a freshers' resume are:
Freshers' resume should not be more than 2 pages.
Do not insert too many blank lines in your Resume, because it gives a thought to the recruiters that your bluffing.
Career objective is the important part of resume. This statement helps employer to know your motive for the job, so they can determine whether your goal is in line with their organization and the position available. Take your time to create a powerful opening for resume. Your objective should be, at the max, two or three lines long. See the example objective for help...

1. Never use a pre-defined resume template. Instead, create a simple template for your resume that is attractive and easy to edit.
2. Use font size of 10-12 points in Ariel, Verdana or Times New Roman for easier reading
3. Write your name in bold. Text size of your name should be larger than the body text of the resume.
4. Your mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address should not be larger or in bold.
5. Mention your two word name for easier name recognition. You should eliminate your middle or initial name from your resume.
6. Mention only one telephone number along with your email address on the top of your resume below your name and address.
7. Bullets phrases should start with action words such as achieved, demonstrated, guided, governed, planned alike.
8. Objective Vs Profile: Objectives for internships might point out that you desire to improve your skills; objectives for experienced people must state the skills you will bring to the company. You can use a profile if you are highly experienced candidate.
9. Include Summary of Qualifications after your objective. It contains 4-6 bullets or phrases highlighting the relevant skills and traits.
10. Your resume must not go beyond 2 pages. 2 pages are only allowable if you have more than 10 years of experience.
11. List everything (employment, certifications, education, internships, activities) in reverse chronological order i.e. Last job mentioned first.
12. Make you section titles in capital letters and bold font.
13. List your degrees by month and year. If they are more than 10 years old, dates must not be listed.
14. Give the accurate name of your degree in the education section your resume.
15. List the end results and achievements, not just duties, in the employment section.
16. Use the present tense of verbs to explain duties in your current employment.
17. Use the past tense when describing duties from past employments.
18. Never use the word “I” in your resume.
19. List additional languages in which you are fluent. If you have traveled or lived in a different country, include that information too.
20. List your GPA only if it is 3.0 or above.
21. List your awards and scholarships in the bottom of the page.
22. Be sure that buzzwords and keywords for your profession are used in your resume.
23. Include computer skills, for instance MS Word, Excel, systems, languages, programs and databases.
24. If you are an entry level applicant with no experience or changing your career, a functional or skills-based resume will more effective.
25. Never include your personal information in your resume, This includes your birth date, marital status, social security or license or certificate number.
26. Eliminate hobbies or interests section and religion or ethnic background except they would be appropriate to job.
27. No need to include references in resume. If required, you may enclose an additional sheet of references.
28. Do not rely only on an automatic spell check of MS Word or other software. It sometimes do not detect typing errors and mistakes in capital words. Instead, check your resume manually and have it proofread by your family member or acquaintance.
29. Carry extra copies of your resume while leaving for interviews.
30. If you are applying via email, attach your resume as a PDF document instead of doc or docx to preserve formatting.
